You can picture the scenario. You set off on your long journey. You might be going to see family, or setting off on a lovely holiday. Yet the minute you get in the car, the kids are bored. Cue ‘Are we there yet?’ all the way until you get to where you’re going. You know what would be perfect in this time of need? A great film, or an interactive game, but you haven’t got enough mobile data for that depth of usage. Consider this a thing of the past, as you can now get wifi especially for your car, thanks to EE and it’s Buzzard.
What is the Buzzard and how does it work?
Buzzard Car Wifi is a device designed specifically to provide 4G mobile wifi for your car. It plugs into your 12 volt power socket so you never need to worry about it running out of power or remembering to charge it.
Can only one person use it at a time?
Car Wifi supports up to 10 wifi enabled devices at once, such as tablets and laptops, so everyone in the car can access it at the same time.
Will I lose signal if I’m driving through the countryside?
EE’s 4G network covers 200 towns and cities, or 73% of the population. If your journey takes you out of a 4G area, you will still be able to access a 3G connection.
How much does it cost?
You can get the Buzzard on either a 30 day plan or 24 months. If you choose the 30 day plan, it has an upfront cost of £39.99 and costs £10 per month for 1GB of data or £15 per month for 3GB.
If you choose the 24 month plan, the £10/1 GB plan has an upfront cost of £19.99, but the 3GB/£15 per month plan makes it free.
As well as the superfast 4G connection, you can also benefit from 2 for 1 cinema tickets, access to EE Film and discount on home broadband.
